This will be a very narcissistic post, but I just love the portraits Ralu took of me during our stay at Colibița and I just couldn't help myself not to post some over here too. :)

My "honeymoon" with Ralu at Colibița
It's been a while since I posted something here, but life was pretty hectic during those summer months and I barely had time to do anything at all except studying. To put it in a nutshell, I had my final exams, wrote my final thesis, graduated uni and got into the masters programme I wanted, so things turned out all good and all my hard work paid off. :) I couldn't wait for all of this to be over so I could get away and let my summer finally begin.
And what better way to do it, than by meeting with one of my dearest friends and going away together on a "honeymoon" (we called it so as a joke) into the mountains by a beautiful lake. I stayed with Ralu for two days at the amazing Colibița lake and had the most wonderful time together, laughing, talking about every single possible thing, riding with the canoe, or...well, pretending to do it because neither of us knew how that thing worked, swimming and of course taking tons of photos. It's been literally SO HARD to choose some to put here, hence the delay in making this post, cause they are all very dear to me, but I finally managed to make up my mind and make this rough selection.
On our first day we walked from one side of the lake to the other, hoping we could go round it (we didn't in the end cause the distance was too big) and admired the beautiful country scenery.
When we got back, I dived straight into the lake, while Ralu was lazing about on the shore. :)
In the afternoon we went to have dinner and of course it took us maybe an hour to get there because we stopped from 5 to 5 minutes to take photos.
But how couldn't we, when we had all this beauty surrounding us?
We finally arrived at sunset and had the best dinner - chocolate crépes. Myamm!
The next day, we served our breakfast to this amazing lake view...
Then lazed about on the pier, enjoying the view, talking and laughing together :)
In the afternoon we went "sailing" with the canoe, having crazy laughs along the way because we just couldn't handle the thing. As soon as we were getting it to go straight it would start turning and going around in circles to the probable amusement of the people on the shore. But we really didn't care, cause we had such a great time. :)
After our canoeing adventure, we went on our dinner quest yet again, enjoying the beautiful scenery on the way.
Of course dinner = chocolate crépes once again, and afterwards, we enjoyed some wine on the pier while doing some stargazing. :)
On the morning that we left, we woke up at 5am to catch the sunrise and take photographs. We were both so sleepy and freezing on top of that, but it was all worth it.
Us, before leaving...
...and our happy feet and the lake view. :)
Honestly, this was one of the best getaways I ever had. Ralu is such a darling and I am very glad that I can call her my friend. Can't wait to see her again, spend time together and photograph everything along the way. :) She is a really talented photographer, make sure you check out her artist page.
I will also post some portraits she took of me during those days, so stay tuned. :)
